Often, our time is limited and I am almost certain that you, like me, are looking for simple, tasty and healthy recipes. Meatballs with pumpkin and feta successfully fall into this category. They need few ingredients, are made quite quickly and do not require much effort.

Specifically, you need 4-6 ingredients: pumpkin, green onions (optional), fresh or granulated garlic (optional), feta, breadcrumbs and eggs. The girl can be replaced with telemeau without the taste of meatballs suffering too much. For this recipe, I prefer to use zucchini instead of zucchini. The first has a thinner shell than the second, a less intense taste and fewer seeds. It also seems that zucchini would have fewer calories than the zucchini we find in the markets. Below, I leave you the quantities and how to prepare.


  • 2 medium zucchini (zucchini)
  • 1-2 sprigs of green onions
  • 150-200g feta cheese or telemea
  • 2-3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg tied
  • granulated garlic

Method of preparation:

First, I took care of the pumpkins. I washed them well and did not peel them. If you use Romanian zucchini, not zucchini, I advise you to remove the peel.

I put the zucchini on the large grater, put them in a thick sieve, sprinkled a little salt on them and let them drain for about 10-15 minutes. Then I drained them as well as I could with my hand.

I chopped 2 green onions. You can change the amount according to your taste or you can omit the green onion if you don't like it.

In a large bowl, I mixed all the ingredients well: water-soaked zucchini, chopped green onions, feta (well crushed with a fork), breadcrumbs, a little granulated garlic and egg. If the composition seems too soft, you can add breadcrumbs.

Usually, I do not add salt to the composition, because the fetus is already salty and I added salt in step 1, when the pumpkins have drained.

I formed the meatballs and placed them in a tray lined with baking paper. I heated the oven to 180 ° Celsius, set to dissipate heat up and down. I let the meatballs bake for about 30 minutes.

Stage 1

Wash the vegetables well. I also preferred to peel zucchini. I would have liked its fresh taste in meatballs, but I thought it was safer that way. I chopped the carrot, pepper and zucchini finely.

In a larger wok pan, put olive oil and add the vegetables. Add a little salt and let it cook over low heat. After 10-15 minutes, put the vegetables in a bowl and let cool.

Stage 2

In a large bowl, place the vegetables, add the ricotta. Mix carefully. Add parmesan, breadcrumbs and spices to taste. We need to get a paste that doesn't stick to our hands. We form small balls, as round as possible. Don't make them too big. The smaller they are, the better they cook and the more attractive they are.

Stage 3

Wash the eggs well and break them in a deep plate. Put breadcrumbs in a large plate. Put baking paper in an oven tray. We give the meatballs through breadcrumbs, egg and breadcrumbs again. We put them in the tray, a short distance from each other. Put a little olive oil on top.

Step 4

Put the tray in the oven for 70 minutes, at 180 ° C, the option to heat up and down. The oven is recommended to be preheated. I set it aside for 50 minutes. Then I turned them over and put them in the oven for another 20 minutes.

Level the composition in the tray nicely, with a knife.

On top, put 12 rounds of zucchini, then lightly powder the entire surface of the pie with paprika.

Put the pie in the preheated oven, over low to medium heat, for 20-25 minutes, until the pie has a slightly golden-brown crust. After it is baked, take it out of the oven and you can serve it both hot and cold. It is a great appetizer of tastes and looks.
